About

Born in Rome, Italy, and raised in Milano, I attended Liceo Classico E. Setti Carraro Dalla Chiesa and graduated with an undergraduate degree in Philosophy from Universita’ Cattolica di Milano. The first author I studied at length and wrote my undergraduate dissertation about is Hannah Arendt. For five years I taught high school Philosophy History and Pedagogy, plus some middle school Latin courses. In 2006, I emigrated from Italy to the United States, where I am now an associate  professor of philosophy at Salisbury University. I have a PhD in Philosophy and Education from Teachers College, Columbia University and I am a Whiting Foundation Public Engagement Fellow. I lead a program of Philosophy in Schools in collaboration with the county public schools. I live on the Delmarva peninsula, a short drive from the ocean, with my husband and two cats. I believe Black Lives Matter. I miss my sisters who live one in Milan and one in Barcelona. Things I like: my students, books, pasta, wine, and my friends. Things I do not like: tyrants, anti-maskers, and bugs.
